Every year, during summer, a traditional carnival in Kotor gives you the opportunity to see authentic costumes and Mediterranean temperament of local people. According to the number of participants and visitors, this is the biggest summer carnival in the region. The small town of Kotor will burst into life from the fifth until the seventh of august, showing the real spirit of Montenegro.
05.08 - The opening ceremony starts on the main square with dance perfomances and continues at the fishing area of Muo. There, you can have a glass of wine and enjoy the taste of the local fresh caught fish.
06.08 - General merriment continues with masks introduction in one of the squares in the Old town and with Mussel Festivity, held at Prcanj promenade.
07.08 - Carnival parade, with unique and colourful masks, gathers all the visitors and the fiesta lasts until dawn, followed by performance of musical bands and fireworks.

One of the most famous tourist manifestations in Kotor is The Night of Boka. This traditional event is recognized by a decorated parade of boats which cruise along the Kotor harbor, representing different motifs and attracting a number of tourists every year. At the end of the night, the best decorated boat is chosen, and Boka's Night ends with magnificient fireworks. The party continues on the Old town's squares, cafes and open bars which are full of people, partying till the early morning hours.
